What year did you graduation from STA: I started teaching at St. Thomas in 1999 and have been the school principal since 2019.
After STA, you graduated from: Warsaw High School, Purdue University, Marian University, Indiana Wesleyan University
Where do you live now? Northeast side of Indianapolis!
Please tell us about your family: I have 3 wonderful children, 5 beautiful grandchildren with 2 more arriving in October!
What have you been up to since leaving STA? I started my working career at Indiana Bell Telephone (kids, look that up…Ma Ball we called it) writing methods. I went onto supervising telephone operators (not like Ernestine the Operator). I then stayed home raising my 3 children – Kristen, Jenna and Steve and later obtained my elementary education teaching certification when I was in my mid-forties! Mrs V 2.0.
What is your favorite STA memory? I love the Catholic Schools Week Variety Show – All the talent and the performers are willing to share it with the audience. And the audience is always so supportive of the performers!
What do you like to do in your spare time? Read, work in my yard, spend time with family.
What words of advice would you offer a current STA student?
- Use your time wisely!
- Make the most of every opportunity!
- Have fun!
- Listen to your teachers!
Is there any other information you would like to share about yourself ? One of my greatest honors was to serve St. Thomas as a teacher and principal.
