Liz Turner Suscha, 1990

Name: Liz Turner Suscha

Graduated: 1990

Graduated from: Brebeuf Jesuit and then onto Brown University

Where do you live now? Indianapolis, just three blocks away from STA!

What have you been up to since STA:  This question forces me to realize it’s been 30 years since I’ve been a student at STA. Needless to say, a lot has happened since then. For the most part, I’ve been in Indianapolis, including the last 16 years married to Jason Suscha and working in the sports world – Indiana Sports Corp, USA Track & Field, and the NCAA (for the last 13 of those years).

Please tell us about your family. My dad Richard Turner still lives in Indy. For all the STA basketball alums out there who he coached, he’s still a stickler for man-to-man defense. Jason is the women’s tennis coach at IUPUI and, with the two of us as parents, we keep our kids Lidia (age 9, STA 4th grader) and Anthony (age 13, IPS Sidener 8th grader) signed up for many sport activities – lots of uniforms to wash!

What is your favorite STA memory? That’s easy…and predictable…winning the girls basketball 56A and Cadet A city titles. I also loved our Girl Scout troop with girls from IPS School 86 (troop #43), the annual Christmas carols with the entire school, and Field Day.

What do you like to do in your spare time? Read, cook, exercise with friends, and coach CYO basketball at STA.

What words of advice would you offer a current STA student? Remember how the STA community makes you feel and give back to it.
