During the Season of Creation (September 1 through October 4), Catholics are called to a special focus on our place in creation and the need for us all to take actions to protect it.

The Creation Care Ministry at STA seeks to integrate care for creation into the life and culture of our parish and of STA parishioners.  The Creation Care Ministry fulfills its mission by:

  • Encouraging parishioners to explore the spiritual foundation of ecological actions
  • Educating parishioners about the importance of being good stewards of our environment and equipping them to live more sustainably in their own homes and workplaces
  • Facilitating actions by parish ministries and in campus buildings to reduce our parish environmental impact
  • Advocating for policies that protect the natural environment and those most affected by environmental degradation
  • Collaborating with organizations and other congregations to further creation care in the city, archdiocese, and state

The Creation Care Ministry welcomes new members with new ideas.
