Wellness Committee
Faith Community Nursing is the specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses on the intentional care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting holistic health and preventing or minimizing illness in a faith community. We serve the church and broader community by reflecting the compassionate healing love of Christ through promoting the health and wholeness of body, mind and spirit.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Wellness Committee strives to advocate for the education, awareness and engagement in community health promotion resources across the lifespan. Some examples of events sponsored by the Wellness Committee include:
- Flu Vaccine Clinic – Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Bethany Room (download consent form below).
- Annual Blood Drive – Lent 2027

Franciscan Health Flu Vaccine Clinic: Sunday, September 20, 2026
- Location: STA Bethany Room (Enter at Door #1–The main entrance to the church)
- Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Please complete the consent form below. And, if possible, make a photocopy of your state-issued ID and insurance card.
Enhanced flu vaccines for those over 65 and pediatric doses for those aged 6 months to 8 years will be offered, as well as the standard vaccine for older children and adults. Franciscan will also offer the updated COVID vaccination as supplies permit. If insurance is provided by participants, please note that Franciscan will bill insurance companies but cannot guarantee coverage. The cost of a flu shot for an individual with NO INSURANCE is $15.
