Bereavement Ministry

When a member of our community dies, it is our responsibility and privilege to support the family with our compassion, prayers, and practical help. As a member of this committee, you may: write condolences to the family; have a Mass offered; help at funerals, wakes and/or funeral meals; and share resources on death and dying issues. Occasionally the committee hosts memorial services or educational programs. The committee also created and maintains a Parish Book of Resurrection which lists every parish death from the inception of the parish.

Tea and Empathy gatherings will be an opportunity for parishioners to meet and share feelings of loss (including but not limited loss of loved ones, job security, relationship, etc.) in a safe, welcoming and supportive community.  For more information, please contact parish office, 317-253-1461.
