AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE
The STA Parish Council has an opening for one elected, at-large member to serve a 3-year term beginning in August 2026.
All parishioners are eligible to serve on council. And, there are three ways to submit a nomination. To nominate yourself or another member of the parish (with his/her awareness), you may send an email to the Parish Office, churchinfo@staindy.org . Or, you may call the Parish Office at (317) 253-1461 or simply include a name in a sealed envelope labeled “Parish Council Nomination” and place it in the offering basket at Mass. The deadline for all nominations is July 13, 2026.
The Purpose of the Council is to serve as an advisory body to Fr. Varghese in “a relationship of shared responsibility with the Pastor . . . [to] enable the parish to experience itself as a community of faith called to proclaim the Good News of God’s Kingdom present among us. ” (Section 1 of Council Constitution). One of it’s main tasks is to articulate and steward a vision and plan for the parish.
