St. Thomas Aquinas will again provide Christmas gift cards for our neighborhood public school families. Instead of picking up ornaments off the Giving Tree in the Narthex, we ask that you donate a gift card (s) in the same amount that you would normally spend on a present.

If you have donated one large gift in the past, please consider dividing that into smaller amounts so we can share the love. The gift card(s) can be dropped off at the STA school or parish office or placed in the offertory basket in envelopes labeled Giving Tree.

If you would prefer to donate cash or write a check, the process is the same. Place the cash or check in an envelope clearly marked “Giving Tree,” and put it in the offertory basket. Gift cards will be distributed equally by the School 43 staff, based on the individual family’s needs and size.

When purchasing gift cards, please consider department stores that offer a variety of goods, such as Target, Meijer, Wal-Mart, Big Lots, Kohl’s, and J.C. Penney’s. Please do not box or wrap the gift cards. School personnel will package everything separately.

Envelopes marked Giving Tree also will available in the Narthex. Donations are due by December 12th.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and willingness to support families facing unprecedented strain and need during this pandemic. Please pray for them, the School 43 students and staff and the success of our project.  If you have any questions regarding the Advent Giving Tree, contact Cheryl Taylor at or (317) 253-1461.
