EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\nThis ministry provides a group of specially trained STA parishioners who help distribute communion at all Masses. All new and renewing Eucharistic ministers receive training as needed, and they serve about every 3-4 weeks.<\/p>\n

They are expected to make a commitment for 3 years at a time.<\/td>\n

\u00a0GREETERS<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\nThis ministry is rooted in the biblical traditions of welcoming the stranger and building community. Greeters represent the whole parish community. By loving reverence shown to each person, we witness to the presence of God in the Assembly.<\/p>\n

  • Welcome people as they arrive for Mass<\/li>\n
  • Arrange for the bread & wine to be brought up<\/li>\n
  • Take up the collection<\/li>\n
  • Hand out bulletins and good wishes as people leave church<\/li>\n
  • Straighten up church after Mass.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The time commitment is about one or two Masses per month.<\/td>\n

LECTORS<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\nAdults and teens proclaim the readings at Masses each weekend and other liturgies. Training sessions are offered, and practice time is needed to prepare well.<\/p>\n

If you like to work behind the scenes, this ministry is for you. Volunteers assist in maintaining the sacristy, monitoring supplies used for Mass and ensuring that linens and other liturgical items are cleaned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0SUNDAY COUNTERS<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\nTwo individuals, a head counter and an assistant counter, are needed each week to count, verify and then deposit the weekend\u2019s collections along with copying checks and filling out the appropriate forms.\u00a0 No special skills are required for this important task, which occurs after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.\u00a0 However, a commitment to confidentiality is appreciated.<\/td>\nMatt Lorch<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n\n
