CENTERING PRAYER
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n		\n

The Centering Prayer Group<\/strong> is a small group of individuals that gathers every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Bosler Chapel for silent contemplative prayer.\u00a0 Please enter the main church door (Door #1).\u00a0 And upon entering the narthex\/vestibule, the Bosler Chapel will be located on your right.<\/p>\n

Contemplative prayer is a wordless stillness in the presence of God\u2014an opening of the heart and mind to God.\u00a0The method of centering prayer involves the silent repetition of a sacred word or phrase.\u00a0 We sit in silence with this sacred word, and as we become aware of thoughts in our minds, we gently return to the sacred word.\u00a0 Experience with centering prayer is not required.<\/p>\n

Although we meet weekly, regular attendance is not required.\u00a0 Come regularly or just when you are able.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n

MORNING PRAYER
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n		Morning Prayer at St. Thomas: <\/strong>Join us for Morning Prayer at Saint Thomas!<\/p>\n

The Morning Prayer group meets in the Bosler Chapel every weekday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. Some participants attend very infrequently, some once a week, some daily.\u00a0 Please enter the main church door (Door #1) as early as 7:20 a.m.\u00a0 And upon entering the narthex\/vestibule, the Bosler Chapel will be located on your right.<\/p>\n

In a twenty-minute period you will share moments of outward song, inward silence, readings from the psalms and canticles, a short reading from Scripture, some intercessory prayers for yourself or others, the Our Father, and a simple closing prayer.<\/p>\n

PRAYER POWER
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n		Prayer Power<\/strong> is a group of parishioners dedicated to daily prayer for specific and individual needs of others. This gives shut-ins and busy people an opportunity to volunteer and participate in a ministry from the comfort of home. Prayer Power receives requests for prayer by self-referral, phone, or email. Volunteers commit to prayer for 6 weeks. Requests are held in confidence. All that is required is to set aside a brief time each day to pray. There are no rules regarding how to pray.<\/p>\n

Volunteers of the Prayer Power Ministry should have a daily prayer time and faith to believe that God answers prayer. Members must have a spirit of generosity, compassion, and commitment towards those seeking prayers and must respect the confidentiality of prayer requests.<\/p>\n
