Since August, our STA Safety Zone has been in place along Illinois Street, providing traffic calming and safety for our students and parishioners. Per city guidelines, the temporary bollards must be removed by the end of October. Thus, beginning the week of Nov. 3rd, parking along Illinois Street will be allowed as it was before the project’s installation.
We also need your help filling out a brief survey about your perceptions of traffic safety during the installation. You can access the survey by clicking HERE. It must be completed by 10/31. Having a robust response will help us gather data to make the case for permanent infrastructure changes along Illinois Street to increase safety near our school.
