STA School Vision Statement:
Through the combined efforts of the church, school families, and faculty, St. Thomas Aquinas School will guide a diverse student body toward becoming responsible, faith-filled, caring citizens and independent learners.

As the administrative head, the Principal will lead the effective operation of the school in pursuit of its mission and vision following the policies and guidelines established by the Office of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Serves as the primary school representative to all existing and potential STA community members
Builds and reinforces a solid Catholic culture through faith-based leadership
Leads faculty and staff hiring and professional development
Oversees the budget and financial management of school resources
Seeks and implements continuous improvement and innovation in school curricula, policies, and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:
A practicing Catholic (as verified by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis) with a valid administrator license (required)
Skilled at hiring, training, and retaining teachers and staff with a passion for building and developing teams
Aligned with STA’s interests in social justice, diversity-equity-inclusion initiatives, and caring for God’s creation
An excellent communicator and relationship builder
Proven record of academic excellence and the ability to achieve improved test scores alongside practical learning
A positive, enthusiastic, motivational, and inspiring leader to teachers and students that is highly visible within all Parish and community activities
Warm and welcoming with experience providing social and emotional support to teachers and students
