The STA Community Conversations committee arranges for presentations on topics of interest to our parish and Indianapolis.   We aim to enhance our spiritual lives and inform our social engagement by bringing nationally renowned speakers to our church.  The events include opportunities for spiritual reflection, authorities who challenge our conscience and times for offering our own opinions.   We seek varied and interesting topics to stimulate our faith and intellect on a regular basis.

A Community Conversations committee meets quarterly and plans for events often many months in the future.  The entire effort is all volunteer, so we need your help for the following tasks:

Committee members:  Persons are needed to conceive, plan and orchestrate each event; we need persons who have relationships potential national personalities, especially those of interest to catholic audiences.  We seek individuals who would be interested to secure sponsorships for our speakers.

Reception hosts: Some of the best discussions for attendees take place during our post event receptions.  We need workers to set up a coffee table, tables and chairs, bake reception treats, receive guests and clean up afterwards.

Greeters:  STA is known for being friendly and hospitable.  Because many persons come from outside our parish for these events, we need outgoing greeters to welcome persons to the events.

Security:  Because events take place in the evening, we ask for security persons to begin our welcoming process when people are parking and to keep all persons and property secure.

Drivers:  Often guest speakers require transportation from the airport to lodging and then to the event and back.  Persons willing to help with transportation are requested.
