Blanket Sunday: October 26th-27th

Did you know that the most frequently requested household item from the St Vincent de Paul Indianapolis Council are beds?  Sadly, many of our neighbors do not have a bed to sleep in.  The SVdP Indianapolis Council has implemented a mattress program to provide twin-size bed sets for families with children under the age of 18, and is now in need of twin bed sheet sets to distribute with these beds.  In conjunction with the St Thomas Aquinas SVdP conference, STA has designated October 26 and 27 as “Blanket Sunday” weekend. Please consider donating new or gently used twin bed sheet sets that weekend; other sized bed linens, blankets and towels will also be gratefully accepted.  A collection area will be provided in the Narthex.  All donations will be taken by volunteers to the SVdP warehouse for distribution.  Thank you for your consideration of this initiative – your gifts will have a very real and positive impact for many in our community this winter.

Needed Items for Boulevard Place Food Pantry

St. Vincent de Paul Boulevard Place Pantry appreciates your support both financially and with needed items such as non-perishable foods, baby needs, and home cleaning products. Now that school is back in session, there is a major need for boxed mac and cheese! Other current major needs include boxed rice, pasta meals, baby diapers (sizes 5T and 6T are in high demand), baby wipes, toilet paper, vegetable oil, and snack foods. Needed condiments are ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing. As always, we need canned chicken soup, pasta, and sauces, too.

Thank you for your continued support. You help bring joy to those we serve.
