SEASON OF CREATION CELEBRATION AT ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CHURCH: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2024

Please join the St. Thomas Aquinas Church community to celebrate our Earth at a Season of Creation Celebration on the evening of Thursday, October 3, 2024. Sponsored by the STA Creation Care Ministry and Race & Culture Committee, the theme of this event is “To Hope and Act with Creation.”  The event is from 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning with a Care for Creation Mass at 6:00 p.m. in the church. This will be followed at 7:00 p.m. by a presentation from Paula Brooks, Environmental Justice Director at the Hoosier Environmental Council (HEC) entitled “Advancing Environmental Justice in Indiana.” The HEC’s Environmental Justice Initiative aims to identify and mitigate environmental health risks in low-income communities and in communities of color in Indianapolis and Indiana.  Included will be a discussion of how individuals and small groups can promote environmental justice.
