As part of a broader Butler University charge to address areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, following the recent social justice demonstrations across the nation, Butler University assembled an advisory group of students, faculty, staff, and community members to assess the current state of the Butler University Police Department. The group’s mission is to produce actionable recommendations regarding the optimal utilization of BUPD on campus and community, including a specific focus on the eradication of systemic racism.
