EARTH COUNCIL
Earth Council, sometimes known as Nature Club, is an opportunity for STA students to learn more about our natural world through activities, games, arts and crafts, and occasional service projects. Students in grades 1-4 meet once a month during recess. The first meeting for grades 1-4 will be next Thursday, September 20. After that, though, we will plan to meet the first Thursday of each month. Mrs. Ashton and Mrs. Horvath are the faculty leaders.
The older kids Earth Council for grades 5-8 (also known as OKEC) is more service or project oriented and will reflect the interests of the students. Meeting times could be either after school or during lunch/recess, depending on the availability of the students who are interested. Students in grades 5 – 8 who are interested in Earth Council should let Mrs. Horvath know.
