HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE 2022
Friday March 4-April 8: “LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU”
- On All Fridays during Lent Confessions from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Friday April 8: Day of Sanctification of Parish
- Individual confession will be available 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday April 9: Vigil of Palm Sunday at 5:30 pm
Sunday April 10: PALM SUNDAY OF THE LORD’S PASSION
- Sunday Mass at 8:00 am and 10:30 am
- Blessing of the palms and Procession into the church
Tuesday April 12: MASS OF CHRISM: 2:00 pm at the Cathedral
- The Mass of Chrism is concelebrated by the Archbishop with his priests who renew their promises. It is a sign of the unity and communion of the priests with their Bishop. The holy oils are blessed during this Mass.
Holy Thursday April 14: 7:00 pm: MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER
- With symbolic foot washing of 12 apostles’ feet.
- Night Watch/Eucharistic Adoration begins after Mass until 10:00 pm.
- This is a time of prayer and meditation with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Good Friday April 15: CELEBRATION OF THE LORD’S PASSION
- 3:00 pm Veneration of the cross and Communion service
- Universal Day of Fast (age 18 to 60) & Abstinence (over the age of 14)
Holy Saturday April 16: 9:00 pm: THE EASTER VIGIL
- The Easter Vigil begins with the blessing of the Easter fire and, Liturgy of the word, Celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Easter Sunday April 17: SOLEMNITY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD
- Masses will be celebrated at 8:00 am and 10:30 am
