The boys CYO basketball season is quickly approaching. The St Thomas Aquinas boys basketball program has seen tremendous growth and success over the last several years and this year will be no different. It will be another exciting and fun season for all the Tigers boys basketball teams.
Tryouts will occur at St Thomas Aquinas gym on the following days:
- 4th Grade: Sunday, Sept. 22nd, 2:00-3:00PM
- 5th and 6th Grade: Sunday, Sept. 22nd, 3:00-4:30PM
- 7th and 8th Grade: Sunday, Sept. 22nd, 6:30-8:00PM
- This will be the first of at least two tryouts for the 7th and 8th Grades
All boy in the 4th-8th grade at St Thomas Aquinas school, or a parishioner at St Thomas Aquinas Church, are eligible to play. Everyone will make a team – tryouts are for team assignment only. Practice will start in October and games start the first week of December, culminate in a city-wide tournament in February.
An athletic participation fee of $75 will be charged to student’s Smart Tuition account. For players that are non-STA students, please make checks payable to St Thomas Aquinas Athletic Department. Any questions or concerns regarding the participation fee should be directed to Ms. Sochacki. All players will need to have a physical on-file. The CYO physical form is available at www.cyoarchindy.org/Docs/Website%20Physical%202015.pdf. Completed physicals can be provided to Rose Sochacki in the school office or Duane Marks.
