The Aquinas Club

Mission Statement

“The Aquinas Club is open to all male members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish over the age of 21;  is brought together to increase the fellowship among members of the Parish; to provide resources for the on going spiritual and structural growth of the church, school and community of St. Thomas Aquinas.”

The Aquinas Club is the social Men’s club at St. Thomas Aquinas. It was formed to act as a bond to help new and existing men of the parish meet and get to know each other in a casual and social setting. The club serves in many ways to the Parish and School but mainly in the form of fellowship, service and fund raising.

Here are a few examples that The Aquinas Club has helped the Parish and community:

  • Fund three “The Aquinas Club Annual Service Scholarships” to three worthy 7th Grade students
  • Assist with any construction, building, clean-up, set-up, etc. project the school or church is in need of
  • Reach out in the community to assist needy home owners with painting and other chores
  • Serve the Chairman who runs the Sausagefest, our summer back to school festival
  • Fundraise with events such as running concessions at Conseco, The Brickyard Festival at The Northside Knights of Columbus, many other fund-raising events throughout the year
  • Organize the North Deanery Men’s Club’s Olympic to compete against other school’s Men’s Club’s in social sports and raise funds in the process
  • Assist parishioners with chores around the house when needed
  • And many, many more service related items

The Aquinas Club meets the third Thursday of each Month at the school, someone’s home, at The Knights of Columbus, wherever the venue takes us. We plan fund-raising and service events to build relationships with  parishioners and friends of St. Thomas Aquinas. Please check this website for event dates and meeting locations.

Thursday February 18th, St. Thomas Church Bethany Room.
The mens club will be taste testing homemade sausages from a potential new vendor for the 2010 STA Sausagefest .  The Indianapolis Slovanian club will be bringing in samples of homemade sausage to indulge in.  Also, Aquinas members are encouraged to invite a friend to attend the meeting.  The mens club is a great way to meet fellow STA club members and parishioners.  Please contact Terry Rankin with questions.
