STA Equestrian Club at Trinity Farm

EC 5Trinity Farm, LLC is pleased to offer the STA Equestrian Club for those who love horses and want to learn more about horses, horsemanship, and riding.

Mary Lynn Foster, owner and instructor of Trinity Farm, started a “horse club” as a young girl while she attended STA. The idea to bring a formal program is rooted in her knowledge and experience of the joy of horsemanship and wanting to share this with young people.EC 7

Our Equestrian program is designed to explore new ways of engaging youth in significant educational, social and cultural experiences through horsemanship that are otherwise unavailable. Members will build relationships and develop problem-solving skills through EC 1teamwork and cooperation. Activities at the farm allow the students to be exposed to a variety of new experiences.

Meetings are at Trinity Farm (dates to be set with members), 8 meetings in total.  The first 4 sessions used to develop non-riding skill development in horse care, grooming, safety and handling. The last 4 sessions will build on these skills and add group-riding lessons – teaching students mounting, guiding, balance, correct position and dismounting.

EC 4Cost: $280/student

All club members must wear long pants, firm soled/close toed shoes while in the barn and helmets while mounted (provided).EC 6
