STA High School Youth Group

Who: all 9th-12th grade students

What: The cornerstones of our group are faith, fellowship, and community service. We achieve these through serving the ministries of STA and surrounding communities, as well as participating in engaging activities throughout the year that include things such as summer mission trips, NCYC, lock-ins, and outdoor adventure.

When: The High School Youth Council will be posting scheduled events in the parish bulletin and making announcements during Mass.

Youth Council Leadership:

  • Who: No more than two (2) student representatives are selected from each grade to sit on the Youth Council for one (1) or more terms.
  • What: The Youth Council will plan activities for one (1) calendar year and should include: a fall retreat/NCYC,  monthly events that include service projects within the STA ministries and surrounding communities, and fellowship based activities (i.e., lock-in, ski trip, etc), as well as a summer mission trip.
The Youth Council also plans fundraising opportunities for the Youth Group. Opportunities include, but are not limited to: corporate sponsors, Kid Watch at Sausagefest, bake sale after 5:30 Mass, take home meal sales (soup, lasagna, etc), and volunteering at STA hosted fundraising events for a donation of the proceeds.

STA Middle School Youth Group

This program seeks to integrate young people in Middle School (6th – 8th) into the spiritual, social and service oriented aspects of our faith.  Through diverse programs, inter-parish activities, and Archdiocesan events we seek to develop youth who will continue to build the Kingdom of God.

Our program is only successful with the help of volunteers.  Please consider volunteering your time to help our youth grow in love and service as a chaperon, by assisting with transportation, or helping with food or planning.
