St. Vincent de Paul Society

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international organization that offers assistance to those in need. As described on the web pages of the Indianapolis Council, “Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering, in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.” The St. Thomas Aquinas Conference is part of the Indianapolis Council of SVdP. Our members are actively involved in numerous activities, including the Pratt-Quigley and Boulevard Place Food Pantries and the distribution center in downtown Indianapolis (see http://www.svdpindy.org). Indianapolis SVdP is a 100% volunteer effort. Regular meetings are the first Thursday of the month at 7 pm, in the Bethany Room.
