Dear Prospective Kindergarten Parents,

Thank you for the interest you have expressed in enrolling your child in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School.  Since 1941, children and parents have experienced a diverse community, academic excellence, service to others and spiritual formation at STA.  We look forward to your family joining us!

Our Kindergarten program is a full-day program.  The class size is limited to 24 students with a licensed teacher and an assistant.  St. Thomas Aquinas parishioners are given priority, and non-parishioners are admitted if space permits.

Our Kindergarten provides many opportunities for discovery and exploration.  The balanced literacy program exposes students to meaningful and interesting reading, writing and math tasks.  Students participate in Art, Music, Physical Education, Library, Technology and Spanish classes.  Communication skills are practiced daily as this enables children to gain a feeling of power and confidence as well as build a sense of community.  All of these experiences are grounded in our Catholic faith and provide rich, well-rounded Kindergarten education.

If you would like to learn more about our Kindergarten program, we invite you to visit between the hours of 8:30 -9:30 a.m. on one of the following mornings.  The length of your stay is up to you.

  • Tuesdays, October 9th, 16th or 23rd
  • Thursdays, October 11th, November 8th, 15th

We like to limit the number of visitors per day and ask that you call our school secretary, Mrs. Sochacki, at 317-255-6244 to make a reservation.  Visiting is not a requirement and if you have already had a child in our Kindergarten, you may choose not to visit.

I look forward to meeting you on the day of your visit!

Sincerely,

Cara Swinefurth

Principal
